hmmm as i was stumbling through onemanga.com i came across a story called "Kaichou wa Maid-sama!" (it's great btw, i highly recommend it to you peoples looking for a fun/peppy story to dive into, lord knows i was desperate for one). in this story one of the guys, Kanou ,has a major girl phobia. i still think this is insanely hilarious XD *throws head back* bwahahahahahaaha hahahahahahahaha!!! but well i decided to check if this was an actual documented/accepted fear and i wanted to know its name...

ahem! lo and behold through the awesome all-knowing power of google i discovered it on a list of fears! the term is "Gynophobia or Gynephobia"

So now that i had found this rather large documentation of what scares the crap out of people, i felt like exploring it a little bit. I never knew fears could be so much fun. I'm gonna share my favorites with you here. i hope you get as much of a kick out of this as i did x). please try bare with the long winded-ness till the end for the best is yet to come

1.Francophobia- Fear of France or French culture. (Gallophobia, Galiophobia)/Germanophobia- Fear of Germany or German culture.
(there was one for England, the Japanese, Jewish people,the Chinese, the Dutch, and Russia as well XD)

2.Alektorophobia- Fear of chickens.

3.Amathophobia- Fear of dust.

4.Anthrophobia or Anthophobia- Fear of flowers. (how is this possible!?!?!)

5.Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. (what?!!?! XD)

6.Automatonophobia- Fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures, wax statues - anything that falsly represents a sentient being.
(ok that i completely understand because i was always terrified of that show "Goosebumps" with the evil dummy doll thing)

7.Bolshephobia- Fear of Bolsheviks. (but they don't exist any more right?)

8.Coprastasophobia- Fear of constipation. (<---this is actually nothing to laugh at o.o)

9.Consecotaleophobia- Fear of chopsticks. (lol)

10.Coulrophobia- Fear of clowns. (this is definitely one of mine!! there is nothing funny about those child-eating freaks D8 <--saw the movie "IT" when she was 4)

11.Dendrophobia- Fear of trees.

12.Didaskaleinophobia- Fear of going to school. (it's not like anyone particularly likes it so...yeah)

13.Ephebiphobia- Fear of teenagers. (TEENAGERS SCARE THE LIVIN SH@# OUTTA ME!!!- heh i like that song)

14.Geniophobia- Fear of chins/Genuphobia- Fear of knees. (i don't understand. how can someone be afraid of a body part -.-;??)

15.Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia- Fear of the number 666. (love that one) <---the next one is even better though

16.Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia-HAH! try saying that 5 times fast....or even just twice!! D8..........now guess what it is before you read on................................

17.Lutraphobia- Fear of otters. (but otters are so cute D:> )

18.Omphalophobia- Fear of belly buttons. (XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!)

19.Peladophobia- Fear of bald people. (XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!)

20.Pogonophobia- Fear of beards.

21.Porphyrophobia- Fear of the color purple. (theres also a fear of the colors white,black, and yellow. red too i think )

22.Symmetrophobia- Fear of symmetry (what does that even mean!?!!? how does that pan out in reality?!?! lots of things are symmetrical so what do those people do when they see them? that fear must be so inconvenient ).

23.Textophobia- Fear of certain fabrics. ( ex: "AHHH!!! DEAR GOD!! SPANDEXX!!!!")

24.Urophobia- Fear of urine or urinating. (now that realllllyyyyyyyyyyy must be inconvenient...)

lastly the ultimate in terror! i thought this was the most epic fear! or at least the deepest in meaning and not nearly as irrational as all the others! bwahaha XD

25.Phobophobia- Fear of phobias...

I believe it was Scarecrow in Batman Begins who said *in strange distorted low voice* " there is nothing to fear but fear itself!!" then he got pepper sprayed, or was it tasered, by Rachel and gallops away like a pansy, but hey there was truth in his taunt.

me? i'm an insectophobe! and proouuddd to be one ^^ i hope i can overcome my fear but in the mean time i will cover up my shame by ridiculing the anbsurdness of all these crazy phobias that i don't and will probably never have XDD!
